Mama Lana’s
Mama Lana’s Community Foundation is a charity that is incorporated, wholly not for profit and is committed to helping feed the homeless and underprivileged patrons in our local area.
Lana and Roger Borg, with the help of volunteers, go down to Penrith under the Trade Secret bridge on Station Street every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm to 10pm weekly and provide 60 to 80 hot, homemade meals each night as well as toiletries, food packs, blankets, sleeping bags, swags and hampers to feed approx. 45-65 people.
They also liaise for the patrons with Centrelink, Penrith Council, Department of Housing and other resource centres and Government Departments to help the patrons any way we can to make their lives more comfortable and bearable.
