The annual presentation went ahead with great successes this year.
Our state team that represented Zone 4 at the RSL State
Championships in March were very proud in receiving their trophies.
The forty seven strong contingent helped the zone into 2nd place this
year, with many of the swimmers achieving personal best times on the
day.
As usual there were a great number of trophies handed out to our well
deserved athletes for their various successes throughout the season,
such as overall pointscore winner, age champion and representatives
at various levels such as Cumberland and State levels.
This year the club saw two swimmers head off to the Australian Age
championships in Brisbane. They were Jarrad Pearse and Michelle
Bowd.
At present the club is midway through its winter season, holding club
night at Springwood Aquatic centre on Wednesday night. It’s a lot
nicer indoors than braving the elements outdoors through winter!
The summer season will again kick off in early October.
