We trust that everybody has enjoyed a happy festive season and that
the New Year has begun very positively for all. The Dance Club has
had a comparatively successful 2008 and this is due to the efforts of
a very able and proactive committee viz; Val, our Secretary, Peter, Our
Treasurer and all our Committee Members, John, Keith, Ron, Robyn,
Lorraine, Bill, Fran and Martha very ably led by Eric, our President.
Members of the Dance Club express their sincere thanks and
appreciation to the committee for their ongoing commitment to
organize and administer the affairs of our Club so efficiently.
The Club also extends its heartfelt gratitude to Alan and Sadie for
stepping into the breach and filling the void of Dance Instructors. The
amiable, enjoyable, humorous yet instructive methods of teaching us
have produced a group of dancers who are more competent, more
confident and very relaxed. Thank you Alan and Sadie.
We now look forward to an even more successful 2009. Our A.G.M.
will held in March and no doubt we will be looking to members to fill
Key positions on the Steering Committee. Our Club needs vibrant
people with fresh, innovative ideas that will enable it to develop and
provide a recreational activity which stimulates healthy physical and
mental growth in a relaxing atmosphere.
Anyone who would like to learn to do social ballroom dancing, please
contact any of the executive listed the directory in this issue of The
Razzle. Our dances are held each Sunday in The Hornseywood
Auditorium at the Penrith R.S.L. Club from 6.45pm to 9.30pm. You
are welcome to join in or just have a look. To enjoy all the other social
activities organized by the Dance Club, you have to be a member.
Membership attracts an annual fee of $3 and you are required to be
a member of the Penrith R.S.L. Club.
Let’s work together for an enjoyable, fun filled 2009.
